Anyway, if you like them just let us know, if you want to purchase any and have them framed, put on canvas or just stuck on your wall, email us at sixpees66@yahoo.com

We welcome feedback of any kind, so if you like them lets here from you, likewise if you think they are ordinary let us know.....its all good.

Coastalwatch

Coastalwatch now have a camera at Crescent Head. Surf conditions can be viewed by logging onto www.coastalwatch.com.au

We are a little unsure whether this facility is readily available or if there is a charge to it. If you have a phone with Apps there is a lite version and a full version. The lite version does not have the cameras but the full version does for a small charge. It is sponsored by Hurley.

Opinion?? Camera at Crescent?
Makes no difference as most visitors are from Sydney or further a field. It does assist them with knowing what the locals are surfing though. By the time they drove from Sydney, all the conditions would have changed.
So we see it as a feel good camera.

13 - the Surf Movie about Cescent Head

Being released in Feruary 2013.

Surfaris Crescent Head

Just on the outskirts of Crescent Head along the road to the cultural centre of Gladstone and beautiful Hat Head is Ross and Michelle Kesslers Surfari Central. Not far from the beach breaks of the Richardsons crossing area.

Ross' musical talents have been briefly mentioned in the post titled North East by NE (published 7th Nov 2012). More on this to come soon.

Surfaris Central (Crescent Head) is a multi cultural buzzing surf bonanza. All nationalities visit to learn to surf, to soak up the Australian way of life and to enjoy the hospitality of the people who work at Surfaris.

Each week on every other night the guests get to see and listen to the unique "groove" sessions with surfaris very own band set up.

Surfaris is also the largest licensed operator in Australia with licences to a greater range of surf breaks than any other. This also reflects the quality of the experience when using Safaris as they are very particular about giving people a good surf and not just throw them into any surf.

Ross and Michelle are an intricate part of the Crescent Head area community. They contribute to the ANZAC Day ceremony through Ross' singing and also bring their guests into town to enjoy the cafes and tavern.

The accommodation is very in tune with the surf "feel" and is situated, like Crescent Head, amongst National Parks and surf that is totally uncrowded.

If you are planning a surf trip you would have to look Ross and michelle up. They are on www.surfaris.com/

Alternatively, if you would like any more detail email sixpees66@yahoo.com and we can go to the source.

Crescent Head and Coopers wooden surfboards

Crescent head is the home of George Cooper a brilliant craftsman who produces hollow wooden surfboards.

A full run down on his craftsmanship and the man will be posted shortly.

George's boards are for sale and can also be made to your specifications. When in Crescent Head visit the Tavern and you will see some of his boards displayed. George also made the wooden bar tables in the Tavern.

These boards are fully functional. They are also works of art for those who would like to improve their living space with some decorative alternative to a photo or painted artwork.

(Please direct enquiries to email: sixpees66@yahoo.com)
