In da swamp and Bear Grilles

6Ps has been getting back to nature and todays post gets all Earthy. Milo Minderbinder led me to a swamp area where he talks to ducks and insisted I take a photograph of the swamp land and his favourite Duck.

Now you are all aware by now that Milo is special so please take this into account.

Milos duck, who lives in the swamp, is named Bill. In addition to his rather obvious name Milo insists it is an Asian duck. Therefore the ducks name is pronounced Bill Duck. (not Duck Bill). This Bill Duck arrived from Vietnam on a boat about 20 years ago and is thankful he landed in the mid North Coast as his relatives went to Victoria and were subsequently shot during the first duck season of shooting.

A bit ironic really, as they could have stayed in Vietnam and had the same outcome.

Milo insists his Duck has teeth, which your 6ps reporter could not identify. Not only does it have teeth but it also has a tongue (according to Milo). Your reporter asked the obvious question - "what sort of teeth does your duck have milo?" to which Milo simply replied "Buck".

Now I would like to point out that there is no race generalisation happening here, 6PS only reports what is said and finds it offensive to generalise about race colour or creed. As for milo.....well the guy wouldn't know shit from clay the stupid Ozzie, whiteman, Buhdist.

How Milo got to know this Duck (aka Bill) is beyond me, but he has become very attached to the thing. He even makes quacking sounds when asked a difficult question, poops himself and then waddles off into the distance.

Anyway, if you look very carefully at the swamp picture below you will see Bill Duck blissfully singing to Milo. (I could swear that milo is on Quack at times)

(He is up the back of the picture)

Moving on........yes, some time was spent exploring the more earthy side of the North Coast which included areas of coastal swamp.

Quite beautiful in the late afternoon.

6Ps and his fellow friends are avid fans of Bear Grilles who can eat the odd eyeball or hairy spider. But we are all taken by his survival abilities and quite often attempt to replicate his methods.

One such survival technique is the old rub a couple of sticks together and whammo - a fire!

Todays clip records such an event (nearly 2 hours of rubbing sticks - you be the judge if there was any modern day assistance). You will note the professional method by which the fire was extinguished.

Ah yes Bear Grilles we love you.

Words that provoke thought

A Documentary - Bear Grilles meets Milo Minderbinder.

Aloha.
