Rhythm - Life's swell

The tropical weather continues to produce swell on the mid North Coast with the swell at Crescent Head producing quality waves on the Point.

Although it is currently raining the eyes are focused on the Ocean and it's summer rhythm.

Speaking of rhythm todays short clip is a re release of a clip I did way back in August/September 2011. Like all things in life the sea has rhythm, sometimes very predictable and some times not. On a sunny day and with an offshore wind it is beautiful to observe the colours and wave - swell action. A surfer floating along a nice wave creating their own rhythm in a space and time never to be repeated as the wave finishes its journey crashing onto the beach.




In my previous post I credited Quiksilver with their current advertising and product and in particular the use of colours and art as the main eye catching "hook".

Today I have included some photos of Craig Anderson a Quiksilver sponsored surfer. I have been fortunate enough to see this young guy surf live and was blown away by his style. On first sighting he appears to be just trimming on a wave or lazily standing there in a dream, then bang - wack - splash he pulls off moves that are so quick you are searching for the replay in your mind to understand what happened. I just watched as he tore the place apart without fanfare or the familiar flowing and connecting  moves one into another. It seems he sees a wave in parts and deals with that part in a micro second. Refreshing!

As we go off into our own daily Rhythm remember it is also all around us. Try to flow with it and not against it.
