The school of calm

As I sit here waiting for the tide to get a little higher I can hear the sound of the solid swell and feel the temperature at about 26c.The swell has gradually increased over the past 48 hours and a 2 hour session yesterday has not tired the 6Ps team.

The mid North Coast is alive and pumping.

Todays post deals mainly with those sights and sounds that put us in a state of calm. Without the calm mind the body cannot react or function in an optimum way. Many recent experiences with irrational behaviour has made me become more aware of the importance of the calmness of the mind, best dealt with by practicing the meditation sessions in good Yoga classes.

Relax, time out, or just laying around................

To those who may think we have fallen victim to the North Coast mushroom trip or the crazy smoke, do not panic. It is just that sometimes things enter your life and you can really see the problem clearly. Calmness can make you very observant and quite rational.

Rightio.......on with the post. Lots of visual pleasures all linked with niceness, good surfing with good Australian music, clever filming from Mexico, and much more.

This clip is by an unknown film crew (or at least have not been credited) and the music is by Xavier Rudd:

The coming weekend 26th October to 29th October is the Byron Bay Surfing Festival and includes all things surf, film, art, music, fashion. This will be a great event and worth the carbon burn off to get there.

Speaking of surf film and calmness this clip is cool.

One in the ocean, in the moment, amongst all mother nature has to deliver.

6Ps is inspired by the work of Taylor Steele. Now a resident of the North Coast along with his family he is a truly accomplished film maker. From the USA he has chosen the North Coast to live and work because of how it inspires him.

If 6Ps could obtain half of this mans ability we would be stoked.

Go watch his latest movie............."THIS TIME TOMORROW"

Finally, when you can be calm in the face of almost over powering odds it is the true test of ones confidence and state of mind. Given this is a test it is taken to another level when you have time to smile for the camera when you have tonnes of water roaring over your head.

A recent session at Cronulla's Shark Island saw Fletch Hayllar in the heart of darkness but coping with calmness and making it out.

Aloha
