Ellie Brooks has entered in at level 7

Todays post is a follow up from a story we published about 12 months ago. It was 10th october 2011 and titled "Timings and Journeys".

6Ps had been travelling and was introduced to an up and coming young Surfer - Ellie Brooks. The lady has an amazing backhand and has been competing well since our story. Given her age (15) she has placed in many first class events and the potential is starting to be realised.

As is the road with all athletes, surfers are no different, and especially female surfers. To find the money to compete, balance school, part time work to raise the money for the next event and the long pockets of parents is not an easy one.

6Ps has not had the chance yet to follow up with film on Ellie but has seen her surf in some recent events and can assure you she has improved (if that's possible!) in the past 12 months.

We do, however, have the film we produced of her last year. Watch this and you will see why we are stoked:

6Ps is pleased to hear that she has secured sponsorship with a company that has the same values as 6PS. Produce locally, purchase locally, support locally. The name of this clothing company is level 7 (find them on facebook).

This is the level 7 story:

“IF YOU CAN DO SOMETHING THAT CHANGES ONE PERSON’S ATTITUDE THEN YOU ARE A SUCCESS… IF YOU CAN DO SOMETHING THAT CREATES A CULTURE YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED FOREVER.” THIS STATEMENT IS AT THE HEART OF WHERE LEVEL SEVEN HAS COME FROM AND WHERE IT AIMS TO BE.
Level Seven is a company built on friendship, tradition and ambition. The team at Level Seven have been apart of each others lives for almost two decades. Together we have been through the trials and tribulations that life has to offer. Growing up skating, riding and having weekend adventures was our passion, it is this passion that planted the seed to create a truly Australian brand.

Over the past decade iconic Australian brands have moved all manufacturing overseas, taking with them Australian jobs. One afternoon in one of the owner’s garage the conversation moved on to iconic Australian brands that had moved overseas, this conversation began the Level Seven journey to create a successful Australian brand, to show that it can be done and can be sustainable.

This ambition will not be successful unless the Australian public, retailers and corporations get behind Level Seven and endorse truly Australia made, designed and manufactured clothing.

6Ps congratulates Ellie Brooks on this sponsorship deal with a company that has great values and ethical behaviour.

We look forward to the next chapter in Ellie's career and we wish her every success with her new sponsor.
