The summer winds have been blasting the north coast relentlessly creating a wind blown ocean and sand moving so fast it cuts you in half. Some of the back beaches hidden behind the tall points have had some great waves and are protected from the Nor Easter.
The 6Ps new film - "13" - has progressed well since the last blog and is now ahead of schedule. Some recovered footage has been found that has added some pretty amazing surfing. We have also been lucky enough to include some local home grown music in our film. The owner of Surfaris in Crescent Head is also a talented musician and has music which can be downloaded on ITunes. Search for Ross Kessler and have a listen.
One of the good things about the surf being windblown is the opportunity to refresh the creative juices and reconnect with those people and places that make up our community.
For those who follow 6Ps regularly, and for those new to this blog, a recent addition to the blog has been the tabs at the top of this post. Each tab has information and stories categorised into one of the headings, eg. "Crescent Head surf" In this tab will be all interesting things associated with surfing.
While each tab is being added to, almost daily, please keep checking to see if under your topic of choice there is useful information for you. Today we have added the story regarding Ross Kessler and "Surfaris" under the Crescent Head surf tab. This is in addition to a story last week on George Cooper, the talented wooden surfboard builder.
6Ps is still true to it's core reason for living which is film, photos and fun. The addition of the tabs is to keep readers informed and hopefully come to understand that as well as the worlds best surf this area has even more to offer. Those days where the wind has blown it all away or you are all blown away, there are wonderful things to do and see in this area.
We hope you are enjoying the Friday afternoon groove session where we post songs/artists that are either unusual or the music is truly awesome. We have found some good stuff and will continue to give you a pre weekend warm up.
Well we think this North East Wind will be gone by Saturday afternoon and we can get back to the surf, so until then it's discovering things on land.
Aloha
