Australia ya dazzler

Australia it never ceases to dazzle!!!!

The hardy 6Ps crew completed a 2800klm journey recently, which included desert, the highest mountains in Australia and the pristine NSW South Coast.

While this was a sidetrack from our focus on surfing, beauty is a wonderful thing no matter what form it takes. It is for that reason we wish to share with our followers the beautiful raw beauty of the landscape and historic wonderful buildings.

Some additional photos appear in our photo gallery page.

On the edge of the desert you realise your own insignificance and the space that nature owns at its whim.

The farmers that work these hard conditions are a different breed. Their personality matches the temperament required to see this day in day out.

The towns that are the meeting point for the land owners are very remote and reflections of days gone by are evidenced in buildings and signs in their main streets.

We travelled lightly, but in comfort. We exited the dry unforgiving desert and headed for the hills. These photos were taken on the long journey toward the Australian Alps, small towns old trucks and our space machine.

The road leading to the Alps and over 1500 mtrs above ocean level have shelters used by snow travellers over the years. These are refuges from the weather. The lake we reached by mid afternoon, only 27 klms to the top.

After spending 3 beautiful days in the mountains we descended to the pristine NSW south coast where little villages display their historical architecture and colour. A place where everything is clean and comforting.

Our final few days were spent on the south coast at a beautiful place named Kioloa. Waves, nature and colour.

More photos will be available on our Gallery page.
This is just a very short summary of a  10 day 2800 kilometre journey, where we have gained energy and admiration from our beautiful Country Australia.

Aloha
