Beauty and Nepal

The tragedy that has hit Nepal is devastating to those wonderful people and the beautiful landscape.

We are lucky we live in Australia where we do not have such destructive forces that can happen at any time. 6Ps thoughts are with the people of Nepal and those visitors that are still unaccounted for.

The 6Ps crew spent 4 days in the mountains just west of Crescent Head during last week, and it is no wonder there is a sense of spiritual enlightenment when these places are visited.

The crisp air, clean clear river systems and wildlife is beyond belief.

We spent 4 days without any other human being seen or heard, just the sound of the river and the wildlife. True heaven on earth, and therefore our connection with the disaster in Nepal. We could enjoy such beauty and feel safe, yet those poor people were struck so hard.

We were lucky to have had our solar panels to provide the necessary power to our camp, no machinery or petrol, just pure sunlight. The logs on the fire kept us warm during the night.

To touch or be in touch with nature at this level is truly a humbling experience. It is where you are reminded you are so insignificant to the power and beauty of nature.

In Australia, we also have our fair share of venomous snakes, most of which live in the country side not bothering anyone. Our campsite was visited by a curious red belly black snake, who just cruised on through without any fear. Thats not to say we weren't mildly nervous.

As our avid readers are aware, we are predominately a surfing site, with some backhanded satire attached, but our world is opening up every day. A dream to live at a great surf spot but to also escape to a mountain retreat not far away has been delivered.

Pictures tell a thousand stories.

We are currently collecting footage for our next vimeo release, its going to be a cracker.

Aloha
