Valley of Seaweed and Salt

Some might say living on the coast has only one dimention. All surf, salt, seaweed and sand. Wax on your board and in your ears.

Well, in some ways it can, but that means you are not willing to broaden your perspective or balance.

The 6Ps crew have been out and about documenting in film and photos the backdrops that make up coastal living. Sure, we are making a surf "bonanza", but these days if you are going to make a DVD or major work it has to be BIIIGGG. I mean Vimeo and You Tube is great and appears to be the quick sensation needed these days. Full length films, about an hour or more, are either on discovery channel, foxtel or the box office. Yeah...right.....6Ps presents........somehow I don't think we are ever going to those dizzy heights.

So, we are attempting to open the mind to "those mountains "that appear so much along the coast and help to make the coastal valleys that lead to point surf and those people who love their surroundings.

We have been in the bush up mountain trails, getting well and truly lost, sapping up solar energy to keep out camp battery going and generally being totally overwhelmed by just how beautiful the coastal valleys and mountains are.

In fact when time has not permitted we have been surfing in the morning and in the mountains in the afternoon and back home all in the one day. AND that is done without any fatigue. It is all within easy reach so we can have our "happy hour" by 5pm.

There is history in them thar hills........old farmhouses, turn of the century fences and cattle yards. mountains that remain pristine and clear. Not to mention some people who have just enjoyed watching the Beatles play "She loves you" on them there  picture radio things. All in black and white!!

Yes we love where we live and we are getting deeper into our country and its beauty. This will all be released with our next surf documentary.

In the meantime please enjoy some of the scenes we have captured:

Aloha
