The surf on the point has been consistent at between 2-5ft throughout the first 2 weeks of July 2011. Whales and dolphins have shared the warm water and sunny conditions.
Legends of note visiting and surfing the Point has been Albie Falzon enjoying the country Soul.
An inside sand bank has formed over the usual rocky break making it slightly more hollow and fast. The floods have opened up the river mouth and pushed the sand toward the point.
Conditions are backing off as at the 14th Jul and the usual sun has begun to hide behind cloud.
