Dylan Hayllar featured.

Todays post features Dylan Hayllar, plus techo issues and in the wilderness with the camera.

Your intrepid reporter has been in coastal hideaways collecting film and using super lenses to bring surfing up close and in the thick of the action. As with everything when on a learning curve I have produced a 5 and half minute film too big (3gigabytes) to send to YouTube to accept. A download of "compressor" should have solved the problem, however, I find issues that are not allowing me to post to You Tube. I'm working on it.

The surf on the mid North Coast has been pretty much perfect for a good couple of weeks. The weather has been hot and humid with storms and rain in the early evenings. All this adds up to good summer surfing and water the colour of a baby's nappy. The holiday crowds have retreated to their daily working lives and the crowds have subsided.

Should you be planning a trip and need to know how Crescent Head and surrounding surf destinations are doing (especially if it is a quick blast up the coast for a couple of days) drop me an email and I can give you some accurate forecasts that will ensure the trip is a hit.

Featured surfer Dylan Hayllar:

Given the lack of footage at this time, I have featured Dylan Hayllar to give you some sights and background on a "today" surfer.

Dylan is from Cronulla and is close friends with a featured surfer of this blog Dylan Hannah.

An exiting surfer with fly time being more than flights with jetstar and virgin. His current competition surfing is with the Cronulla Surftag team in the Jim Beam events. Working for Quiksilver does not give him the ideal time to chase the competition events however his free surfing is something to observe. Sponsored by FCS, OTIS, GORILLA GRIP and of course QUIKSILVER this guy is a stand out in any surf, the bigger the better.

While cameras can pick a time in motion quite often there is a fall off or crash that happens after the lens has captured the moment. In Dylans case he nails the whole manouvre.

Determination to the point of being stubborn is an underlying driving force for Dylan who is out there in any conditions until the move is nailed.

Fins in the water.

Backhand perfection.

Reading signs is not a strength.

While his surfing speaks his story and the water is where he loves to be, his loyalty to friends and genuine personality ensure that while on land he is good to be around.

Relationship advice:
(by Milo Minderbinder)
If you are planning on wearing makeup on that first date, make sure its not too much. After all, it's what lays beneath that counts. Likewise, if a guy is planning to take his best conversation on the first date, make sure it's a bit broader than about himself. After all, if he thinks he is that good how can he expect her to be good enough..........

Hopefully I will overcome these technical glitches and get some film up shortly. Until next time, go quietly and tread gently.

Aloha.
