Crescent Head has been lucky enough to have good surf this week with the water temperature around 24 degrees. The weather has matched the surf and been fantastic, with the mornings reminding me of the changing season.
As you may or may not be aware the main regional centre for Crescent Head is Kempsey. If you are like me and always thought Kempsey was a bit of a non event town and at times looks a bit tardy I have been pleasantly surprised by some of its attractiveness. Particularly West Kempsey. I have a friend who has a place on 5 acres out there and I am always finding an excuse to drop in and visit. Beautiful country side with Kangaroos everywhere. Ducks on the pond and gum trees as tall as 5 story buildings.
Further west is beautiful rain forests and a mountain range that mesmerises me.
There is much more to this place then the main street.
Anyway, as always there is also a humorous side to most things I see and one of those is the local member of parliament who I am sure changed his name to accommodate some of the local voters.

Milo and I spent sleepless nights editing todays video "Mazuka". The answer to the question of who or what is Mazuka appears at the end of the video, and not a bad sight either. The music is indigenous.
