13 is about the mix of the sea and surfing, no high profile surfers, not too many spectacular "Airs", but it does represent ordinary people doing extraordinary things in the surf. Yep....just like you and I. It also highlights the colours and the extraordinary sea life we enjoy in Australia, particularly Crescent Head.
There has been many a late night editing, many a trip to find waves but to no avail. Plenty of beer to drown the flat days. Long waits for surf to happen, spooky bush walks trying to find the elusive "fill" section. In fact, 13 took 2012 to produce...........
Yep, only 30 minutes, but the most valuable 30 minutes of our lives at 6Ps. Many an editing trick has been learned, many a lesson has been learned about music copyright.........but you know what? We are pretty proud of our entirely homegrown film. We welcome feedback on anything we do and can cop statements like "that is absolute shit!"....as long as you tell us why or what or how we can improve. The main reason this film is 30 minutes is because we believe in this day and age it is a short but meaty attention span.
To explain the film.............well............we can't. It is a sincere attempt at mixing nature and surfers. Colours and exposure. So thats about it, 12 months of pregnancy now the birth.
