Iconic Landmarks and the Tour continues

Your 6Ps reporter remains on the road collecting film and surfing in between.

Unfortunately, while the surf has suited me, there are not too many rip tear and bust surfers appearing at Snapper or D'Bah so rather than film just anybody I am awaiting some "name surfers" to perform.

However, having said that, I have discovered an excellent surfer with potential to be another Steph Gilmore. Her name is Ellie Brooks and is the current number 2 in the under 16 Queensland titles. At the age of 14 she is ripping it apart. I have collected a limited amount of film of her surfing but hope to get more before I return to Crescent.

Ellie is a Goofy footer with a backhand snap that when first viewed cracks the neck of the photographer. Stay tuned.

In the meantime I have a couple of iconic stills to bring you away from your day to day and dream a little. There is also a shot of Milos cousin Jordo dredging up yabbies, much to Milos disgust.

The boat trip fishing is due this Saturday so its a case of Popeye the sailor man taking on the high seas.

The cafe at the top of D'Bah with MP doing that cutback (top left hand corner)

The pub at Rainbow Bay. Headquarters for the Quicksilver Pro held each February.

Yep...a few quiet ones overlooking perfect surf, does not get much better than that.
The Yabby hunter

The Kookaburra has given up on the old Gum Tree and decided to check the surf.

Aloha
