The heat contributes to slightly uncomfortable body odours and a sense of heated conversations with short quick questions and answers. No one seems to like Christmas that much, because of the lead up. The packed shopping centres, the lack of money to buy presents, the deadlines that have to be met before the holiday season.
The family situation has grown to gigantic proportions these days. Given that most children have a biological parent, they may have up to 3 or 4 step fathers/mothers over their lifetime. That also leads to step brothers and sisters.
The end result is a lot of presents and a Christmas season packed with travelling to all the relos places and confrontations with past relationships. Great.
But Jesus was born on this day. He started this.
But then again he can not be blamed that much, after all, ask everyone what they expect at Christmas time and most will say "a present", they will not say " I will think of the birth of the one who died for our sins".
Anyway, the family, otherwise known as Christmas combatants , have their yearly arguments and tears flow. Things are said that are meant, but always dismissed as I didn't really mean to say that......and then finally (usually at the end of Christmas day) an alcohol fuelled "jeeeeeeeeez I loooooooove youuuuu."
Yes 'tis a season to receive:
- Abuse
- Emotional torture
- an overdrawn letter from the bank
- a token present as against a thoughtful present
- A guaranteed embarrassing moment
- 3kg around your waist
- Ham poisoning
- An ear bashing about how your wife hates her mother
- etc etc etc
I received an ear bashing when I pulled into a parking lot at the local supermarket. The "lady" yelled for fucks sake you idiot I had that place before you!! I simply replied "merry christmas" and was then abused for being sarcastic? Me sarcastic? If I had of been sarcastic would not have I said "Oh sorry...hang on... let me guide you into THE most priviliged parking spot you most beautiful woman that God has ever put breath into"? Not me.... I simply said Merry Christmas. (The hag)
So there ya go Christmas a wonderful time with family and friends.
But, should not we give more at Christmas, and all year round? Why is it that we take but not give? If we give, should not that be more ulturistic? Nah.........ya just give me the shits!
We at 6Ps wish all our followers a great Christmas and New Year......because we know it is actually better to give than receive......we just don' give people aids, the jack, a mental breakdown, dramas, periods, menopause, mid life crisis, stress caused by our work environment, political correctness, a broken heart, false hope, the carbon tax, taxes in general, molested children left in the care of trusted citizens, governments who fool you, intolerences, people who harbour nuclear weapons, people who like chai tea etc etc.
Anyhow, remember to receive, it is important, but maybe it is important to give.......just don't give me the shits and hey!! Merry Christmas!
Aloha
