Back and in the shack

We have all arrived back from our sojourn to Indonesia alive and well...............when I say well, I mean not on deaths bed, but with slight stomach problems. Problems with the basics, you know, curries, spices, bintang and over indulgence.
It is funny how when ever you travel and money permitting how eating and drinking are just full on. Eat everything, drink everything, and just be stupid.
Anyway I stray away from the reasons we travelled to Indonesia, and that was simply to capture film and photos for our next film. We are stoked at the quality and scenes we have captured and when we mix it with some good surfing footage we believe we will be releasing a film worthy of attention.

There are many good things about travelling, and for me it is about renewing perspective. Sometimes in the day to day life things are taken for granted, or even worse, you can't believe there is anything better than where you are. You live in a great town, city, or country and things just don't get any better...right?
Well they actually can, for two reasons. The first is that when travelling you see things and you think........jesus! look at that!!!How do those poor people survive in those conditions!!!??? - that is when you realise you ACTUALLY do live in a great place. The second reason is that you realise how happy some people are with nothing and still laugh and smile and are more healthy than most of us - that is when you realise you need to think more about your greed.
So....perspective, a great thing.
I think we have captured the "feeling" of our travels and can make you laugh and cry when the film is released. Most likely editing and further surf sequences will take awhile, but certainly towards spring (fall in the US of A) we should have something up and ready.
In the meantime, we will deliver our usual brand of irreverent blogs and update you with photos and short film segments.

So, until next time..... tell Governments to get out of your life, don't believe the USA is really the Policemen of the world (just lost some followers with that statement) and support the arts.

Aloha
