A whole lotta weird stuff!!!

Lately, well actually.....not lately, mostly all the time I am always observing weird things or sayings. I am not excusing myself from this weirdness, believe it or not I actually do not take myself seriously.

For example if you look at the paragraph above you will note the following: I mentioned "I" 3 times. I mentioned "myself" 2 times. So that is a total of 5 times I mentioned myself!! Is that ego or just plain self centred crap? (the word 'I" was mentioned 5 times in this sentence)

Anyway lately I have been taking more notice of weird things and at times been posting them on Facebook, much to the anger of disgruntled readers out there.

There are some great "sayings" or observations out there and some of the best are well documented.
For example: " Bigamy like monogamy is one wife too many" - Oscar Wilde
                       "What if everyone thought like you Yossarian?"- "Then I would be mad to think any      other way!" - Yossarian from the movie "catch 22"

Some stuff I have been collecting goes something like this:

• I was out in the water surfing just recently and I noticed a fellow who had the shaved head happening. A confident sort of guy, you know the ones that would have been hiding a few years ago because in fact they are bald or going bald. Shaving heads has increased competition for those guys who have hair. Anyway, I couldn't help but notice how each time he went under the water, he came up flicking his head in the same way a guy who has hair would do? It may seem petty but there is nothing left for us guys who have hair to distinguish ourselves anymore.
• Recently a guy asked me "so what are you doing?" and I answered " I'm doing a bit of filming and going to have a couple of beers later" to which he replied "Waddya want to do that for!"......... well despite the fact that it was he who asked the question, and all I did was answer it, I assumed he didn't like what I was doing? Do you know what I mean........someone asks you a question and you answer it but it isn't the answer they wanted. Weird shit, as it turned out he wanted me to help him lay bricks....yeah right.....wrong answer.
• At the risk of being called some politically incorrect animal, I was watching an interesting documentary on Palestine and Israel recently and observed the following: The whole area is just a mess. By that I mean some areas are physically a mess but the human interaction is just plain dumb. The continual creep of land by Israel is setting it up for a fall, I mean it is just so deadly. The whole history is a nightmare, but one thing for sure is you can't rewrite history, you can't make up for lost lives,territory,pride etc., because it is history. Not unless you are that stupid you want to repeat history. Anyway, lets not get carried away with being too serious, after all it leads to fanatics...................The one thing, which I found ironic about this documentary was how the might of Israel, namely bloody big guns,tanks,short fused soldiers were ruthless on the Palestians (mostly teenagers) who were throwing rocks! Rocks/guns?? OK some might say the risk is of suicide bombers that causes this scenario. Anyway, it was a bit humorous seeing these guys throwing rocks at tanks.....a bit like come back and fight you bastards, even though I am missing an arm and a leg (Monty Python).

Life goes on and observations are a great thing, but you have to be able to observe yourself too.
