Reflection Recuperation and on with Summer

In Australia right now we are about to enter our spring time. The dawn of summer possibilities and long days.

The 6Ps office is on the mid north coast of New South Wales and enjoys great weather all year round. Even though it is not officially spring we are enjoying sunny warm weather, good surf, and warm water.

We are currently filming a "close to home" feature to show the world our beautiful land and ideal surf locations.

In a way, our 6Ps year ends at the conclusion of winter and begins in spring. We seem to be travelling and producing film in that cycle of seasons. It is for that reason we have been reflecting on 'our' year.

When we have analysed our blogger statistics we have been amazed at how many viewers are from lands beyond our borders. Sometimes we are unsure whether that is to do with some of our satirical political views (especially our lampooning of the American Way) or the fact that we generate a lot of images and stories about Australia. In any case we do what we do and we hope we add some sort of pleasure to your lives.

Before we talk about our plans for Summer, we need to reflect on the year that was and how it drives us to greater heights.

Initially we did a bit of travelling into the Australian country and some very distant places ( images in our photo gallery). For us it was a magical experience where we seemed to get in touch with our Australian way of life and the unique landscapes and countryside.

To our delight we had a great reaction to that series of blogs and knew that we just had to do something similar again. (see blogs in our blog archive)

For those avid followers of our adventures you may be aware that we returned once again to our second home - Bali. This is where, for us, we envelope ourselves in the rich culture and colours. The foods filled with flavour and spice and the people who are welcoming and spiritual.

It is a place where we work hard filming and photographing, exploring new "back street" adventures and enjoy the kindness of the people.

We found ourselves either accidentally or by some guidance around many spiritual icons this year. From the Gili Islands Muslim temples to beautiful and spectacular Tan alot. Filming from the cliffs in Uluwatu near one of the largest Hindu temples, and witnessing "God like" sunsets and surreal sites.

It did touch us and we have begun to see things in a different way..........a way that is perhaps less materialistic, less concerned about the past and future and is calming.

We hope these pictures speak the words we are trying to convey.

So, yes........we have recuperated over winter and reflected on what is important to us. We have gained new experiences and new values in the way we live. One thing for sure is we still have our wicked irreverence for politics and all things worth lampooning, so don't miss our blogs.

This year (starting in Spring) we will be diving into all things Australia in the hope that our overseas visitors understand why we live in this wonderful place -Australia.

Aloha
