Crescent Head Summer

The heat and humidity adds to the salt and the sand in months like this.

Some like it hot as they say, but in Crescent Head, it is the way we live. Just when you think the heat will roll you over and you become weak with lack of water, a storm hits and cleans things up.

Ya gotta love it!

The surf has been sketchy but that summer feeling overcomes the barrelling challenging waves of autumn. So it is a case of enjoy it as it is and top off the day with a cold beer or two and a BBQ with friends.

During this time we are treated to live bands every sunday afternoon at the local Tavern (pub, hotel, viewing platform, and much more). While normally when the tourist season is over we only get this entertainment every 3rd Sunday, during January it is every Sunday. An array of talented locals perform and it is a great way to spend the afternoon, particularly if you have managed a good surf in the morning.

At 6Ps we would like to salute the summer of 2013, we are having an absolute full on summer, the likes that have not been seen for years. Funny enough, not too much mention of global warming though.

Anyway, we present a clip taken at the local Tavern during January of local band "Offshore". The singer is Ross Kessler who can be found on ITunes. He has some great music and lends itself to the surf feel.

(the Crescent Head pages at the top of this blog have been updated too)

Enjoy summer and keep coming back to this blog for escape from the saltmine.

Aloha
