So without diminishing the importance of these events that seem to always land at this time of year, 6Ps would like to shift the focus.
Crescent Head has come alive with people, surfers, families, eaters and drinkers...yahoo. The local businesses' are thankful for the cash deposits and the surf is handling the crowds. The back beaches still remain the place to go for those seeking a solitude surf.
The one thing, if the right frame of mind is adopted, is the fun being had in and out of the water. It's the rejuvination period for the holiday crowd. A shot at freedom before they head back to the cities and or work and that dreaded "locked in" feeling of the mundane.
But fun should be a part of life and not just a grasp at holidays in summer.
For this reason, we have provided you with a clip that demonstrates happiness. It's a trailer of Nathan Oldfield's film "The Heart and the sea"
There are two ways you can view this, one is with an open mind and an observation of people genuinely happy. The other is the hipster point of view, that is, grooved out self indulgent weirdos. 6Ps prefers, and is looking at this as option one. People genuinely happy and this shows through the film. Not acting, not posing, but having fun. And after all what's wrong with that?
So, for those who are enjoying holidays and that fun time of the year, keep the stoke. View this blog regularly and we will help you take your mind off the grind. Regular film clips, interesting articles and good photos.
Take advantage of the pages at the top of the page where we will be updating events and great surf stories in and around Crescent Head. If living in Sydney, think about flying to Port Macquarie (45 mins) and contacting us to arrange pick up from the airport and a short organised getaway.
In the meantime, don't lose the fun in your life.
Aloha.
