A week, a trip and Dylan Hayllar

A week is a long time when your hanging out to do something special.

Just ask Milo our film editor, he is hanging out to hit the road in Bali in a weeks time. The crew will be over there for close on a month and will be going to places we have not seen. We are taking in the north of Bali as well as the usual surf destinations, and will not be in any one place for longer than 3 days. Hopefully we can capture some of those "Taylor Steele" moments, the culture, the people, the sights and the surf (refer Taylors film - Sipping Jet Streams)

There has been some excellent waves at the point and the locals have been tearing the back out of them. Some of the young guys are honing their skills for a 5 month travel adventure later in the year.

The surf can be seen in many perspectives...............sometimes it is the only focus and other times it is there, but other things dominate your think time.........................it is the place you go when you need a brain clean.

The Crescent Head Community concept (click on the page above for more information) is gaining traction. More people are becoming involved with swapping ideas, supplying locally, buying locally and generally looking after each other. 6Ps will continue to promote the need for localisation and non political involvement. To clarify this concept, we are not promoting localisation of our surf, indeed this needs to be shared. It is simply the localisation of produce, services, art, film community to unite for our needs rather than those of governments.

Dylan Hayllar and the Sealife

Recently, The Sealife's Matt Johnson took some pictures of Cronulla Surfer and Quiksilver employee. For years these two have been compiling photos and stories that match the best. 6Ps has a link to The Sealife at the side of our page and recommends you visit this fine site for the full story (for those receiving this post by email, go to the web version by clicking on the blue 6Ps letters at the bottom of the email). A full interview is on The Sealife site.

So......we end our post here and go start packing. Check all the equipment, have our last beers at the Tavern, check there are enough copies of "13" at the Fruit and Vegie shop and start winding up for these "places that we never see".

Communication equipment will be via IPad and Wi Fi. There is a huge assumption that some of these places will provide Wi Fi as 6Ps still intends to post weekly while away..........we have been told there are services available, but hey, it is Indo.

Aloha
